The old home town looks the same
As I step down from the train 열차에서 내려서 보니 고향 마을의 모습은 예전 그대로인듯 하구나
And there to meet me is my Mama and Papa 그곳엔 나를 마중나오신 어머니와 아버지가 계시고
And down the road I look and there runs Mary 길 아래쪽에선 금발 머리와 앵두빛 입술의 메리가 뛰어오고 있네

The old house is still standing 비록 칠은 갈라지고 색은 바랬지만 내가 살던 옛집도 그대로 있고
Though the paint is cracked and dry
And there's that old oak tree that I used to play on 내가 올라가 놀곤했던 그 오크나무도 그대로 있네

Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary 금발 머리와 앵두빛 입술의 내사랑 메리와 오솔길을 함께 걸으니...

Then I awake and look around me 문득 정신이 들어 주위를 둘러보니
At four grey walls that surround me 나를 둘러싸고 있는것은 4개의 회색 담장뿐..
And I realize that I was only dreaming
For there's a guard and there's a sad old Padre 그제서야 나는 내가 단지 꿈을 꾸고 있었음을 깨달았다네..
Arm in arm,we'll walk at daybreak 왜냐하면 그곳엔 간수와 슬픈 얼굴의 신부가 서 있었기 때문이라오

Again,I'll touch the green green grass of home 팔짱을 끼고 우린 새벽길을 걸을 것이고 나는 다시 한 번 고향의 푸른 잔디를 느끼게 될것입니다..
